The GP Practice National Patient Survey results for 2026 have been released. This is an independent survey carried out annually by IPSO Mori on behalf of NHS England and is sent out to 2 million patients across the country. The Patient Survey is an important tool that allows practices to compare their experiences of their patients compared to other practices across England. However, as with previous years, the number of questionnaires sent out and returned represent a very small sample of patients. Of 321 questionnaires sent out, only 103 were returned. This is a 32% return and is a sample of only 1.05% of patients.
We are delighted that 87% of respondents said that their overall experience of us is good. This compares with a national result of 77% and 77% in Shropshire Telford and Wrekin. We are aware however that 87% is not good enough and we continually strive to improve. We hope that the recent introduction of an online triage and appointment booking system will continue to improve the service that we provide. We are committed to listening to our patients and taking your feedback seriously.
