Living With Covid
While many restrictions have now been lifted, with regards to healthcare settings things remain basically the same.
There are no immediate changes to IPC requirements. This includes the requirement for staff, patients and visitors to wear a mask/face covering in healthcare settings, and to socially distance where possible.
Government guidelines for those who test positive for coronavirus is that they “should avoid contact with anyone in an at risk group”. This means that if you have tested positive, please inform us so that we can continue our protocol for seeing Covid positive or suspected Covid patients which means that you don’t enter our waiting room and our seen in our designated treatment room.

Our doctors may want to conduct a video consultation using AccuRx so they can view your symptoms. If you have a smartphone this is quite simple and AccuRx have a video guide as to how to do this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xxW4ssN3y90.
In the light of Covid-19 many patients may wish to make advance decisions on their care – more information is available here.
Need emergency dental treatment, see our leaflet here.
The Shropshire, Telford and Wrekin CCG’s Prescription Ordering Direct (POD) service has been experiencing a huge increase in demand. We would like to remind people that there is absolutely no need to order your prescriptions earlier than usual, or order more than you need and stockpile. Patients should continue to order their prescriptions as normal, when they are due. We’re also seeing a knock-on effect at our local community pharmacies who are also under a lot of pressure. We would like to thank all our patients for their cooperation during this time.
Patients can place orders by emailing email@example.com and by dropping repeat slips in the letter box at the back of the surgery. Patients can also email firstname.lastname@example.org – click here for what this service offers and what information is required.
